From September 18th to January 30th 2021, the City of Catanzaro will host the second edition of “Art and City”; conceived by Promocatanzaro, a special company of the Catanzaro Chamber of Commerce and curated by the Rocco Guglielmo Foundation, the project involves the installation of artworks in public spaces with the aim of raising awareness of a contemporary artistic culture.
Strongly desired by Promocatanzaro and its President Francesco Chirillo, supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro and supported by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Catanzaro, the event this year was also realized thanks to the collaboration of the Fabbrica Eos gallery in Milan. “Art and City – Second Edition …”, announces the President Rocco Guglielmo “… it is a project in which I strongly believe, which I have the honor to personally take care of and which fits perfectly into the richest and most articulated artistic / cultural program of my Foundation from next autumn. ” The exhibition foresees the contamination of the historic center with the festive and psychedelic animals of Cracking Art.
The artistic movement, known all over the world, was born in 1993; his intention is to radically change the history of art through a strong social and environmental commitment which, combined with the revolutionary use of plastic materials, highlights the increasingly close relationship between natural life and artificial reality.
A catalog will be created for the occasion, containing, among other things, the images of the works in the historic city center.
