\u201cDomenico Sartor\u201d Agricultural Institute \u2013 Castelfranco Veneto (Italy)<\/strong>
\nThe word “culture”,\u00a0<\/em>from the Latin “col\u0115re”<\/em>, means “to cultivate<\/strong><\/em>“. It was the roman philosopher Cicero, who, finding himself having to translate the term \u03c0\u03b1\u03b9\u03b4\u03b5\u03af\u03b1, paid\u00e8ia (education, training), chose precisely \u201ccol\u0115re\u201c<\/strong><\/em>.
\nBy identifying culture with education, he argued that philosophical practice led – through the cult\u016bra animi – men from a primitive life to a civil life, that is, associated in community.
\nDrawing inspiration from the etymology of the word culture, Cracking Art<\/strong> presents a tour of the Agricultural Institute”Domenico Sartor” of Castelfranco Veneto developed in three specific stages:<\/p>\n

\u201cRegeneration\u201d<\/strong>
\nTemporary installation of colored snails that invade and emphasize the new school structure just built. The ancient teaching of agricultural techniques requires continuous revisions and adjustments that go hand in hand with technological innovations and climate change. The snail, an iconic work of the collective, is an animal par excellence connected to the earth, which it travels through releasing a nourishing and regenerating slime. On its way it is in continuous connection with the outside through the antennas, sensory organs that act as eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrogs’ rain\u201d<\/strong>
\nTemporary installation in one of the greenhouses intended for the cultivation of flowers. A rain of frogs that ideally water the underlying flowers, playing on the ambivalence of the meanings that this image can represent, that is the precious element of the water in which the amphibian lives or the chaotic vision of unexpected changes with which we must increasingly have to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeep roots\u201d<\/strong>
\nPermanent installation of snails that will climb the walls of a special specially made vase that contains a fruit tree. Unlike the usual temporary practice, a work will be built that will remain permanently in the institute<\/em>. A work that will take root and which will be the first seed for the creation of a museum with an unprecedented formula, which indissolubly unites the two meanings of culture.<\/p>\n
