The Elephant is a universal symbol of strength and memory. Depicted by Cracking Art in a “pushing” movement, it represents the importance of studying and understanding history by coming into direct physical contact with places and supporting them at the same time. The work also invites the sharing and the creation of a collective memory: by placing one’s own forehead against the elephant’s, one’s own personal story is metaphorically transmitted and receives, in return, the story present in the animal.
